This past year was full of recipe creation and posting for me… 29 posts in total for the year which is the most I’ve done in a 12 month period here on Day by Day in Our World. However, a few of the most viewed recipes in the 10 top recipes 2015 list came from previous years. (Four of them are in last year’s top 10 recipe post!)
#10 Cajun Pasta
I have always enjoyed the combination of chicken and sausage, whether in a jambalaya or in a dish like this one with pasta. Bonus is that I could get it cooked from start to finish in a hair over 10 minutes using Barilla’s Pronto pasta!
#9 Crock Pot Bean Mix
This is a long time family favorite which I waited far too long to share. Make up a batch and watch it disappear, especially at summertime pot lucks!
#8 Chicken Lo Mein
This dish is one that we were introduced to through an after school program for my then 6th grade son. Chinese food at home!
#7 Garlic Herb Pizza Crust
Hands down, this is my family’s absolute favorite of my homemade pizza crusts. You can use a bread machine to whip up a batch for a single pizza or make a big batch in a stand mixer for several pizzas.
#6 Morning Glory Muffins
My version is quite a bit healthier than the traditional ones I remember enjoying as a child. They freeze beautifully, too.
#5 Mexican Chicken and Rice Casserole
I’m almost ashamed to have my photos from when I first published this post here. My photography skills have grown and I need to update the photo soon. This is a great way to use up leftover chicken and fill those hungry bellies.
#4 Chicken Taco Soup
Another one that is great for leftover chicken. While you can make soup on the stove, this one gets dinner on the table quickly using a pressure cooker.
#3 Crockpot Red Beas and Rice
I grew up eating red beans and rice as a child in the deep south. My family has joined me in my affection for this classic dish, although mine is a bit lighter and make int he crockpot. Just like my homemade pizza, I get a lot of compliments over this one.
#2 Grilled Asparagus with Parmesan
Simple, yet incredibly tasty. Plus, SO healthy for you, too. I can hardly wait for asparagus to come back in season to make more.
#1 Party Worthy Spinach Salad with Strawberries
This is another dish we learned to make at my son’s after school classes. My personal preference is to add a LOT more spinach to the amount of dressing it makes.
Now to start planning out another round of awesome recipes to share with everyone in the coming year. (Hint…I already have one in the works which compliments my red beans and rice rather nicely.)
Which of those recipes would YOU have picked as the favorite?
